Couples counseling is a process through which you both, as a couple, will work with me to help identify and resolve specific areas of conflict. You may be in any state of your relationship: dating, engaged, married, partnered. You will work together to develop a plan of action on ways to improve your relationship and communication styles in such a way where each person is satisfied on an individual level, as well as, in the partnership.
You will explore how your individual backgrounds, belief systems, thoughts, behaviors, and world-views may have been impacting your current relationship in both positive and negative ways. As your therapist, I will be there to help facilitate healthy discussions between the two of you, guiding your conversation in a productive way. You and I will work on developing helpful strategies that will help to enhance long-term results and promote proactivity, a healthy lifestyle and overall, satisfaction in the relationship.
